James W. Hardaway Memorial Scholarship
The James W. Hardaway Memorial Scholarship was established by a Hardaway Family bequest made in memory of James W. Hardaway, who served The Peoples Bank of Bullitt County for over 58 years. Specifically, this scholarship is designed to provide monetary assistance to help defray college or university expenses of students graduating from high schools in Bullitt County, KY.
Student, or their Parent/Guardian, must be an active checking account customer of First Harrison Bank for at least one year prior to the student’s high school graduation; and the student must be a graduating senior from a Bullitt County, KY high school.
The General Scholarship Application, which includes the James W. Hardaway Memorial Scholarship, will open mid‐December and close mid‐March each year. The application will be available via the Community Foundation of Louisville’s website. This is a general scholarship application that will potentially match the student with other scholarships he/she may be eligible for.
The scholarship award amount is a non-renewable minimum of $1000. The number of awards depends on funds available and number of applications.
