Toys for Tots

The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to improving communities in the future. Local campaigns are conducted annually in over 800 communities covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. The Commander, Marine Forces Reserve has under his command over 150 Reserve Units located in 47 states.


The Marine Toys for Tots Program collected and distributed 19 million toys to 7.3 million less fortunate children in this past year allowing them to experience the joy of Christmas and receive a message of hope that otherwise would not have been there. Toy distribution also takes place mid to late December. Members of the community drop new, unwrapped toys in collection boxes positioned in local businesses. Coordinators pick up these toys and store them in central warehouses where the toys are sorted by age and gender. At Christmas, Coordinators, with the assistance of local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other local community agencies, distribute the toys to the less fortunate children of the community. Over the years, Marines have established close working relationships with social welfare agencies, churches and other local community agencies which are well qualified to identify the needy children in the community and play important roles in the distribution of the toys.

First Harrison Bank Drop-Off

We have partnered with Toys for Tots to be a toy donation drop-off at all of our open locations. Bring any new, unwrapped toy(s) to one of our locations and place them in our donation box inside our lobbies during regular hours. We will pass them along to Toys for Tots who donates the toys to families in our local communities. The toy donation drive lasts through December 3!
